Hamburgers

1. 1 pound (450g) ground beef (preferably with 80/20 meat to fat ratio) 2. Salt and pepper to taste 3,4 hamburger buns

4, Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, pickles, etc.) 5. Condiments of your choice (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, etc.)

Prepare the Meat:

1- Place the ground beef in a mixing bow     2- Season the beef with salt and pepper to taste.

3-Gently mix the seasoning into the meat, being careful not to overwork it, as this can make the burgers tough.

Form Patties:

– Divide the seasoned beef into four equal portions. – Shape each portion into a patty about 1/2 to 3/4 inch (1.5 to 2 cm) thick. Press the meat gently to form a round shape, but don't compact it too tightly.

Cooking:

. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. . Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. Adjust cooking time based on your desired level of doneness.

. If you're adding cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking and allow it to melt.

Toast the Buns:

While the patties are cooking, slice the hamburger buns in half and lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster.

Assemble the Burgers:

– Place each patty on the bottom half of a toasted bun. – Add your desired toppings and condiments on top of the patties. – Finish assembling the burgers by placing the top half of the bun over the toppings.
