Namo Drone Didi Scheme : Women will get 8 lakh rupees benefit!
Namo Drone Didi Scheme : Central Government has launched ‘Namo Drone Didi’ scheme for women farmers i.e. it will be implemented for Self Help Group (SHG). Under this, drones will be provided to SHG workers. Which they will be able to use in farming, which will help in increasing their income.
Currently, about 10 crore women are part of SHGs in the country. Under this Namo Drone Didi scheme, drones will be provided to 14,500 women Self Help Groups (SHGs) across the country. The special thing is that the Modi government will give 80 percent subsidy. The remaining 20 percent will be loaned. There is another advantage in this loan. A 20 percent discount on interest will be given separately.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the potential cost of the drone package will be around Rs 10 lakh and SHGs will get a subsidy of Rs 8 lakh for every 10 lakh drones. That means he will have to pay only Rs 2 lakh and will be given a loan of Rs 2 lakh.
Apart from the drone, the complete package will include four extra batteries, charging hub, genset for charging and drone box. One woman to fly the drone will be trained as a drone pilot and another woman will be trained as a co-pilot for data analysis and maintenance of the drone.
15 days training will be included in this package. Under this Namo Drone Didi scheme, drones will be used to spray nano-fertilizers and pesticides and women will be trained in this.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, 14,500 SHGs will be selected across the country. The state committee will select it. Scientists from IARI will be included in this committee. Under the plan, the first task is to detect cluster flying drones, which will start from next month.
