Bhubaneswar: Japan, Germany, Norway have agreed to partnership for Make-in Odisha. And more nations will come. Industry Secretary Hemant Sharma informed this.
Industry secretary said, registration has started from today. The plenary session will be held on the morning of December 1. Afternoon Business Leaders Talk. Top business leaders will give speeches. Discussions will be held on how the state can develop in petrochemicals, chemicals, metrology, metallurgy, skill development, fertilizers, food processing, agriculture and what will be the role of big industries. On the 2nd and 3rd, various departments of the state government will release new policies and new versions for the growth of their industries. 20 to 25 thousand people will come. The highest priority will be given to industries that create more and more employment. Emphasis will be given to setting up industries using the raw materials available in the state.
He further said that steel and aluminum are abundant in the state. Priority will be given to any company using this to develop value added products. If any company will start export unit near the port, preference will be given to that industrial company. The Biju Economic Corridor in West Odisha has been included in the Industrial Growth Plan. Importance will be given to the development and export of new food products including corn, cotton, rice, almonds. In all these cases capital investment subsidy, some exemption for electricity, stamp duty, affordable land will be provided. 5 road shows of the Chief Minister have already been done. A total of 10 road shows have been held. Out of them, 230 companies have applied for setting up industries in the state. They are interested. Some new investors will also come. Big industry will come.
