Big fire in the capital at midnight; Medicines of lakhs of rupees were burnt
Bhubaneswar: A big fire broke out in the capital in the middle of the night. A terrible fire broke out in a medicine warehouse in Mancheswar. Medicines worth lakhs of rupees have been burnt due to fire. The warehouse contained covid materials.
The fire was reported to have taken place at around 11.15 pm. The fire was so fierce that everything was gutted within half an hour. Before the arrival of the fire department, the entire warehouse was found burnt. After a long operation, the fire brigade managed to douse the fire.
Due to the presence of sanitizer in the warehouse, the impact of the fire was greater. Masks and sanitizers have been burnt. The fire brigade broke the wall and tackled the fire. Most of the areas were under fire. More than seven fire tenders were needed to extinguish the fire.
According to the local people, there are leftover medicines, masks, sanitizers in this medicine warehouse, but the cause of the fire is not yet clear. Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit.
