Vande Bharat Express train has started running in South India from today: Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the train

Chennai: Vande Bharat Express train has started running in South India from today. This semi-fast train will run from Chennai to Mahisur via Bangalore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the train today on the occasion of his visit to Karnataka on November 11-12.
Apart from this, Modi will launch the airport terminal here and start development projects worth more than 25 thousand crore rupees. Prime Minister Modi has reached Karnataka and has already started his program in the morning. He garlanded the statues of Saint Kanak Das and Maharshi Balmiki at the Bidhan Saudhi in Bengaluru.

This Vande Bharat Express train will run daily except Wednesday. 1,128 passengers can sit in 16 coaches. Economy class AC chair car fare from Chennai to Mahisur is Rs 921. In the executive class, it will cost almost twice as much as 1880 rupees. It will take 6 hours 40 minutes to travel 504 km from Chennai to Mahisur. It will charge 39 percent more fare than Satabdi Express. According to railway sources, the cost of AC chair car will be Rs. 40 and reservation and catering charges will be Rs. 75 for executive class.
